Learners pay the price they see: our fee comes out of your share, never added on top. Collect payments yourself and there is no fee.

The managed payment fee

Where each payment goes.

Paystack splits each payment as it is made: your share goes to the bank account we reviewed with you, and only our fee comes to us. Alethris never holds your money.

What Paystack deducts, and where it stops

Paystack sets its own rates, and they are listed here when Alethris opens.

Your workspace shows the verified Paystack fee, the Alethris fee and what you received for every payment.

Two fees, one payment

Neither fee is added to what the learner pays. Once a payment is verified, your workspace shows both fees and what you received.

Collect it yourself

Take bank transfers as you do today. Record each one with its bank reference, have an owner, admin or finance admin confirm it, and keep the whole amount.

AI credits

AI credits, bought separately.

AI runs on credits you buy in advance, by card or transfer through Paystack. They are not part of your plan, and AI stays off until you switch it on.

These are our estimates for each task on the provider and tier it starts on. Moving a task to another tier changes its cost, and once a task has run, its assistant shows what it usually costs your academy.

Prepaid, never billed later

Credits are bought in advance, so there is no overspend, and a run that fails costs nothing.

Limits you set

A ceiling on each task, daily limits for learners, programmes and the academy, and an off switch.

Never in the way

Running out stops only AI. Assessment, credentials and payments carry on, and Alethris Help never uses your credits.

Credits that last a year

Each purchase lasts 12 months, the oldest credits are spent first, and a purchase you have not touched can be refunded.

Questions worth asking before you commit.

What happens when the trial ends?
The trial runs 30 days without a card, and nothing is charged when it ends. Owners and finance admins are told a week before. Until a plan is paid, you cannot invite or enrol anyone, create or schedule cohorts, publish a new programme or your homepage, upload files or video, take learner payments through Alethris or issue new credentials. Lessons, assignments, assessment, attendance, verification and Skills Passports carry on.
What if a renewal payment fails?
Owners and finance admins are told, and you keep full access for seven days from the renewal date. Paying from your Billing page, with the same card or another, starts a new month that day. After the seven days, the same limits as at the end of the trial apply until the plan is paid.
Can I change plan mid-cycle?
Yes. An upgrade takes effect as soon as the prorated difference is paid; a downgrade takes effect at the next renewal, so nothing you have paid for is taken away early, and you can keep your current plan until then. Choosing a plan during the trial ends it, and your first paid month starts that day.
What happens if I cancel?
The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and you can resume it before then. After that, the same limits as at the end of the trial apply until a plan is paid. Credentials already issued stay verifiable, and learners keep their Skills Passports.
Does verifying our academy cost anything?
No. We check your registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission at no charge on every plan, including the trial, and anyone can check a credential without an account or a fee.
Do you take a cut of tuition?
Only the managed payment fee, on money Alethris collects for you through Paystack, worked out on the price after any discount. Transfers you record yourself, and sponsored or free places, carry no fee.
What happens to the fees when I refund a learner?
Each programme sets its refund window, up to a year, and whether part-refunds are allowed. A refund comes out of your earnings, and neither Paystack's fee nor ours is returned.
What happens if I exceed a limit?
Your Billing page shows how much of each limit you have used and flags any you are close to, owners and finance admins are told when one reaches 80%, and an action that would cross a limit is refused, such as publishing a fourth programme on Starter. A learner counts from the offer of a place until they finish or leave, so places free up as learners complete, and a learner is refused before paying, never after. Learners can always hand in their work, even when storage is full. Video delivery works a little differently: see the next question. You are never charged for going over, and nothing you already have is taken away.
What if I run out of video delivery?
Learners keep watching everything already published. What pauses is adding more: new video uploads, and publishing an edition that adds uploaded video. You can buy extra delivery hours, which last until your plan next renews, or move up a plan. YouTube lessons are never affected. Delivery is counted in whole days, so the figure runs a day or two behind.
